From my e-mail.... just wanted to share.........

Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his
son Isaac, and he himself carried the fire and the knife. As the
two of them went on together, Isaac spoke up and said to his
father Abraham, "Father?" "Yes, my son?" Abraham replied. "The
fire and wood are here," Isaac said, "but where is the lamb for
the burnt offering?" Abraham answered, "God himself will provide
the lamb for the burnt offering, my son." And the two of them
went on together." Genesis 22:6-8

One of my favorite names for God during my stand has been Jehovah-
Jireh - God will provide. This was the name Moses gave to the place
where he took his son - his hope, his dreams, and his promise - to
be sacrificed. As he offered up to God at Moriah the one thing
dearest to his heart, he knew in his soul that the Lord would
provide. Abraham believed in Jehovah-Jireh and it was credited to
him as righteousness.

Jehovah-Jireh also means "the Lord will be seen" or "the Lord will
see it." When God sees, He provides. How difficult it must have
been for Abraham as he climbed that hill. How many questions he must
have had! Yet as he approached the place for the sacrifice, he knew
in his heart that the Lord would "see to it." He believed in
Jehovah-Jireh. He trusted that God would provide.

We, too, can have this trust. In big things and little things,
important matters and trivial matters, day-to-day trials and fiery
trials - He will be your provider. Go to Him with a question, and
He will answer. Go to Him with a problem and He provides a
solution. Go to Him with your fears and He calms them. Let God be
your husband for this season and just see what a wonderful provider
He is.

Do not be afraid; you will not suffer shame. Do not fear
disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of
your youth and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.
For your Maker is your husband- the LORD Almighty is his name-
the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of
all the earth. The LORD will call you back as if you were a wife
deserted and distressed in spirit- a wife who married young, only
to be rejected," says your God. "For a brief moment I abandoned
you, but with deep compassion I will bring you back. In a surge
of anger I hid my face from you for a moment, but with
everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you," says the
LORD your Redeemer. Isaiah 45:4-8

Yes, God will provide for you. It may not be in the way you expect,
it may not be in the time you expect, but He will provide. His ways
are not our ways. His thoughts are not our thoughts. His plans are
sovereign and will not be thwarted. He will provide for us what we
need when we need it.

An angel stayed the hand of Abraham as he raised it in obedience to
his God. And the Lord provided.

Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by
its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a
burnt offering instead of his son. So Abraham called that place
The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, "On the
mountain of the LORD it will be provided. Genesis 22:13-14

If you will trust in God, He will see to it that your needs are
met. He will be the Great Provider in your life. As Paul writes
in Romans 10-11 - "For it is with your heart that you believe and
are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are
saved. As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never
be put to shame."

Trust in God to be your Jehovah-Jireh - your provider. Go to Him
with everything. Whether the trial is large or small, whether the
situation is good or bad, whether the circumstances are coming
against you or are working for you, go to Jehovah-Jireh. He is our
provider - the strength of our souls. Your family, your friends,
the world may tell you, "This is what you need to do." But your
answer to them must be, "God will provide."

Is there a mountain in your life that you don't see a way around?
God will provide. Are there circumstances that have risen against
you that you cannot see a way through? God will provide. Are there
questions in your heart about your stand? God will provide. Is
there knowledge that you long for but which has been hidden from
you? God will provide.

What can we learn from Abraham's actions? We learn that when we
have complete, unconditional surrender to our God, He provides. We
learn that when we offer up to Him that thing dearest to our heart,
He provides. We learn that when we go to Him with everything, He
provides. He will provide for those who grieve. He will provide
for those who sorrow. He will provide what we need if we will just
trust in Him.

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has
anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to
bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year
of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to
comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion-
to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of
gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of
a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.
Isaiah 61:1-3

God bless
